Personal Fire Escape:
Fire escape cable for office buildings using a monofilament wire that spools out at a controlled rate based on speed, not weight. Wrap a strap around your wrist, tie end to something firm (or a pre-installed cleat at certain points in the building) and jump out. Single use, so wire could be in hermitic box or molded in polymer matrix. Useful for firefighters too.
